The Welby is a mixed-use development located in the Welby neighborhood in unincorporated Adams County.  The project consists of 117 one and two bedroom affordable rental units, located above approx. 4,000sf of retail and a ground-floor parking garage.  The project seeks to be a catalyst for development, connection, and community events in the Welby neighborhood and along the Washington Street transportation corridor.   A community lobby and meeting room will be shared by the retail spaces, residents, and larger Welby community fostering a sense of connection and community engagement.  Additional amenities including two elevated courtyards, a fitness center, and roof-top amenity deck will serve the buildings residents.  The exterior design and material palette is informed by the rich history of the site, which was originally home to the Washington School and most recently the Boyers Coffee Roasting Facility and Coffee Shop, until a tragic fire in 2021 left the coffee shop and former school building un-inhabitable.
