Keeping with their tradition of truth, beauty, and goodness in every step of the design, Sopher Sparn is guiding the Waldorf school through the process of assessing long term needs of the building and the students. Besides working together to determine how to best plan, rezone, and sell half their 12-acre property to finance the new 55,000 sf campus, Sopher Sparn has designed a campus that will take the school and its students successfully into the future. The new master plan includes a new high school, lower & middle school, an addition to the festival hall, and a kindergarten building. This process involves complex discussions with administrators, teachers, parents, neighbors, city staff, planning board members, and city council personnel as well as other non-profit groups. The planning board approved this three phase construction to take place over the next nine years. This projects phased construction timeline will continuously be vetted with the school and city to meet the needs of all stakeholders.
