Pleasant Pool House

Location: City of Boulder, CO | Size: 2,400 SF | Completed: 2012 | Builder: Beck Building Company

The Pleasant Pool House is an addition to an existing guest house on a residential property in Boulder. This 2,400 square-foot structure is a unique blend of architecture and sculpture, distinguished by its undulating roof form. It features changing rooms, a common shower, and a powder room located to the west of the pool. The southwest side of the building includes a series of movable glass walls, which blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces. Buff pavers, locally sourced from Loveland, CO, extend from the outdoor patio to the edge of the pool, creating a deck and relaxation area. Additionally, tensile fabric is used on the ceiling to provide an acoustic buffer within the space.
