S’PARK West Receives Certificate of Occupancy
S’PARK West, the 45-unit, permanently affordable multifamily project in Boulder, Colorado received its Certificate of Occupancy this month. Owned by Element Properties, this residential project is made up of 2-story townhouses and 3-story flats, and is part of an 11-acre mixed-use, mixed-income, and transit-oriented community known as S’PARK.
Over two and a half years in development prior to entitlement, S’PARK received unanimous approval from the City of Boulder Planning Board in 2015. It establishes a public/private partnership in creating a stand-alone, 100% affordable rental project adjacent to new market rate rental housing, sharing in an amenity-rich, urban environment. As the 2nd LEED Neighborhood Development Platinum project in the country, S’PARK supports Transit Oriented Development, a new Bus Rapid Transit Station and the eventual Boulder Train Station.
S’PARK West was built by Pinkard Construction and complies with Enterprise Green Communities & Green Points and include sustainable features such as Photovoltaic panels, rainscreen exterior, cool roofs, Energy Star appliance packages, among other features.
