Sopher Sparn Announces Associate Promotion
Sopher Sparn Architects LLC is pleased to announce the promotion of Frank Romero, LEED AP to Associate in recognition of his ongoing contributions to the firm.
“We are pleased to announce this advancement in Frank’s career. He has been at Sopher Sparn since February, but in that time he’s already showed initiative to furthering our firm,” says Adrian Sopher, Principal. “Frank’s promotion will allow him to explore a leadership role at Sopher Sparn.”
Frank recently joined Sopher Sparn Architects as Senior Designer and Project Manager. Frank worked with the firm from 2003 to 2007, and since then he has continued to grow as a designer. He has designed award-winning buildings from large commercial projects to micro housing within the region.
“It’s great to be working with Frank again,” says Stephen Sparn, Principal. “He has grown as a designer and professional. He shows eagerness and initiative to lead our firm in research, innovation and marketing. We’re thrilled to announce his promotion.”
Frank received a Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of New Mexico and graduated number one in his class with summa cum laude honors and a Bachelor’s in Environmental Design in Architecture from the University of Colorado. He earned the prestigious Antoine Predock design award while interning at his firm in graduate school. His past projects include Denver Museum of Nature and Science Addition, Balfour Cosmopolitan Club at Riverfront Park in Denver, Tennyson Place, The Economist Micro Housing, Viega Headquarters in Broomfield, and The Richardson Design Center on the CSU campus.
Frank focuses on the process and the craft of architecture, sustainability techniques, and the integration of technology with architecture. At Sopher Sparn, he is currently working on Boulder Zen Center, Modern West Net Zero Creative Industrial Park, Broomfield Triangle PUD, The Jewell, Lebo, and Culver Residences.
